The sad thing is, you put on the science channel in hope of something educational or thought-provoking, and you end up watching something like ‘pumpkin chunkers’ just out of sheer boredom. Or you flip to the history channel and watch program after program about the predictions of Nostadamus and the impending dooms...

In my documentary binge, I stumbled upon ‘Food, Inc.’, an informative and shocking film somewhat akin to Supersize Me and Omnivores Dilemma. I enjoyed it because it covered so many aspects of our food production and consumption. Everything from produce and industrial slaughtering to business control of agriculture.

Lets hope it makes it to the Supreme Court. Maybe one day, I’ll be an equal citizen under the law.
Remember though, it’s not just marriage (though that is the most popular issue), it’s employment and housing laws, adoption rights, AIDS and homelessness etc. Once we get marriage and all associated rights, there needs to be a swift move to focus on other issues that greatly...
